PIGMENT DYEING

Achieving Subtle Color Variations with Pigment Dyeing

PIGMENT DYEING

Pigment dyeing is a process where insoluble pigments are applied to the surface of the fabric using binders, rather than being absorbed into the fibers. This technique gives the fabric a unique, washed-out, and vintage look with a soft, matte finish. Pigment-dyed fabrics often exhibit subtle color variations and a slightly worn appearance, making them popular for achieving a casual, relaxed style. Additionally, the colors may gradually fade with washing, enhancing the garment's distressed, lived-in character over time.
